The software that your Slam-In hardware system "talks to" is a Scoreboard program that
manages the ring-in process, operates timers, and keeps score for you. This program is
designed to be operated in Game Play mode in any of these 3 ways:
1. By mouse
2. By keyboard shortcut
3. By host remote control
Operating the software by mouse is as simple as clicking on a button, such as:
In this example, clicking on the "Play Question" button starts a Toss-Up Question. The same
action can be caused by pressing a single keyboard key, the Spacebar. Using the keyboard to
operate Slam-In is much faster than using a mouse. Here is a list of all keyboard shortcuts you
can use:
· Play Question/Start Timer = Spacebar
· Right Answer = B key
· Wrong Answer = Backspace
· Time Out = W key
Another way to operate Slam-In, and one that allows you to moderate a match without having to
use your computer at all is to utilize a host remote control:
Using a host remote control, you can simply press buttons that correspond to common actions
like "right answer", "play question", etc.
