Slam-In for National Tournament of Academic Excellence Slam-In has many options that you can set yourself to support whatever kind of competition environment you would like. However, if you open a pre-built file with all the options already set the way you want, all you have to do is enter team & player names and click "Play". The National Tournament of Academic Excellence (NTAE), formerly the Panasonic Academic Challenge, is played by the same rules as the Commissioner's Academic Challenge (CAC), the official Florida high school championship held each year in Orlando at Disney World. NTAE matches feature 4-8 teams of 4 players each in a toss-up and team question format with increasing point values from Rounds 1-3. Only 1 buzzer is given to each team, however. Missed toss-ups result in a point deduction equal to the question's point value, and they are not available for other teams to answer. Each of the 3 rounds concludes with a timed Team Question involving a written worksheet given to each team. There are no bonus questions, so there are no rebounds or bouncebacks.

The single CAC properties file you need is contained in the following download. The contents of this file should be extracted and placed into the following directory:
Slam-In Version 2/Formats/Official Competition Formats
This directory may be on a USB Flash drive that you received when you purchased Slam-In, or it might be on your computer's C:/ drive if you installed it there yourself.
When you launch Slam-In, select "Open An Official Competition Format" from the opening dialog box, then select the desired format. All you need to do is customize team & player names and click "Play".
